Wine-Braised Carrots with Fried Sage Leaves, p. 264

I had extra sage from the butternut squash pasta, so I decided to make this side dish. It was pretty quick and easy, and tastes good. But I don't think it's a replacement for pennies from heaven.
When frying the sage leaves there was a LOT of spatter - maybe because I rinsed them off first, so perhaps drying them first would be a good idea.
I'll post a super-exciting picture of this dish soon.

  1. Somehow, this dish does not appeal to me. I think I will make it next summer when I have lots of sage. Did you see the peas picture on the page before--that appeals to me!
